Broekman Logistics expands warehousing capacity with 34,000m2
Broekman Logistics, a global logistics player in the field of Forwarding & Shipping, Warehousing & Distribution and Breakbulk Terminals has signed a long-term contract with Dudok Real Estate to expand its warehousing capacity with 34,000m2 at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, which amounts to a total of more than 250,000m2. Besides renting 22,000m2 of warehouse capacity, Dudok Real Estate will also realise a new built-to-suit warehouse of 12,500m2 for Broekman Logistics. The new and modern warehouse will be equipped with an LP-CO2 extinguishing system and is suitable for the storage of dangerous goods.
The main reason for the expansion of the warehouse capacity is the growing number of customers that are looking for a warehousing solution in the Rotterdam port area. With the expansion at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, Broekman Logistics total warehousing capacity in the Netherlands will be more than 400,000 pallets, a third of which is designed for the storage of hazardous goods (ADR).
