New Office InterDam in Houston
InterDam, supplier of fire and blast resistant architectural products for refineries, oil & gas platforms, and offshore wind platforms, recently opened a new office in Houston, Texas to strengthen its position in the North American market and leverage the area’s diverse and expansive customer base.
The company’s product development over the past decade has pushed the boundaries of fire resistant and post blast walls, windows and doors, by creating a world-class product line developed in response to the industry’s desire for fit-for-purpose prefabricated systems that fit modular and standardised building designs. Conforming to US Coast Guard and UL fire and blast regulations, InterDam’s cost-effective and lightweight products are designed to withstand a fire outbreak in a post blast situation, exceeding current standards and leading the market in workforce safety. Heading the US office is Ms Christa Klein, who recently joined InterDam from Canrig Drilling Technology and brings over fifteen years of experience in the oil & gas sector. “I am really excited to have joined InterDam. The company offers an extensive range of innovative fire and blast resistant products for the industry, and several US-based clients are already enjoying the benefits”, says Ms Klein.
“The opening of our new office will coincide with this year’s Offshore Technology Conference. InterDam is exhibiting in booth 1615 in the Reliant Center, so the show will be an excellent opportunity for me to meet clients and new contacts,” she adds. “The decision to expand our presence in Houston was a logical step in our business growth strategy,” comments Mr Berend Groeneveld, CEO at InterDam. “Houston is the global hub for the energy sector, and in particular for the oil & gas sector. This US office allows us to service our existing clients and continue to expand our footprint in a sector that highly values the safety and efficiency of our product lines. I welcome the appointment of Christa to InterDam and am confident that she will be a great asset for our continued success in the western hemisphere.”
