Connect to what’s next at SMM 2018

IFS will demonstrate at booth 408 in hall B7 how the maritime industry can optimize its processes with new technologies at the SMM 2018, on September 4-7 at Messe Hamburg. One of the examples will be the innovative usage of mixed reality (MR) in maintenance. IFS has developed  concept solution for Microsoft Hololens MR glasses that navigates service technicians through complex environments. You can have data from IFS’s business software such as maintenance instructions, service history, performance analyses or temperature readings displayed in transparent glasses and projected directly from the system to the object in front of you. This guides the service technicians efficiently through their work and makes them more productive because they have both hands free for their activities.

In addition to its own stand, IFS is also involved in the activities of the Smart Holland Day, which will take place on September 5, at SMM 2018. Bas de Vos, Director of the IFS Labs, will give a presentation during the Smart Maintenance Business Lunch. At 1:30 pm he will talk about how the lifecycle and uptime of on- and offshore assets can be maximized through the leverage of innovative technologies. In addition, the IFS booth is a stop of the Smart Holland Hunt, a digital scavenger hunt that takes visitors through the exhibition area.
