Kohler Adds Powerful New Generators to its Commercial Marine Offering
Kohler, a global leader in power systems, has expanded its lineup of marine generators for commercial applications with the introduction of the 350EOZCS/300EFOZCS and 500EOZCS/450FOZCS. These new diesel workhorses feature powerful Scania 13L and 16L engines as well as sealed, double-bearing alternators to deliver reliable performance and extreme dependability to commercial boaters around the world.
“With the introduction of these new models, our line of commercial marine generators now ranges from 5kW to 500kW”, said Jos Raats, Managing Director for Kohler marine generators. “These powerful new options were designed to stand up to the rigors of everyday professional use and offer a variety of advanced performance and usability features.”
The new generators integrate the Kohler Decision-Maker3500 Paralleling Controller. The Decision-Maker 3500 provides advanced control, system monitoring, and system diagnostics for optimum performance and compatibility. A patented hybrid voltage regulator and unique software logic are utilized to manage alternator overload protection, a benefit typically requiring additional hardware.
In addition, the Decision-Maker 3500 provides the ability to quickly and easily parallel two or more Kohler marine generators with a single communication wire. The controller’s space-saving design eliminates the need for oversized switchgear while its built-in load management software removes over-fueling issues and the need for exhaust treatment systems.
