Verhoef EMC acquired by the Stokvis Group

Verhoef EMC has been acquired by the Stokvis Group, parent company of ADS van STIGT. This electrical engineering company is located in Sliedrecht and was previously part of the Bakker Group (including Bakker Sliedrecht) of Pon. Verhoef EMC will be managed in part by ADS van STIGT, but will remain independent.

Dave Plug, Director of ADS van STIGT explains the reason for the acquisition, “At the moment we see that the interest in hybrid and electric propulsion is starting to get serious in the market and that all our customers are working on sustainability. Not only for us, but for all suppliers who are part of the powertrain on board, it is very important to grow and to be able to deliver according to the customer demand. This is why we at ADS van STIGT are interested in expanding the package that we deliver on board. We are pleased that we can strengthen ourselves in this way and that we can offer more value to our customers together with Verhoef EMC and the other companies within the Stokvis Group.”
Last week the contracts were signed and the acquisition was made official. Edwin Naaktgeboren will be appointed as General Manager on 1 July.
