Thecla Bodewes shipyard secures another order for two 7,000 TDW vessels
Thecla Bodewes Shipyards has been awarded an order for building and delivery of another two 7,000 TDW Diesel-Electric Multi-Purpose Dry Cargo vessels for Vertom, one of the leading international operating shipping companies in the Netherlands.
In 2021 the yard already received an order from Vertom for 4 similar vessels. The LABRAX 7,000 TDW Cargo vessels are especially developed to Vertom’s requirements for providing tailor-made shipping solutions to their clients. During detail engineering, CFD optimization of the hull design has been performed for a fuel-efficient speed-power performance powered by a future proof modular electric propulsion system. The completely box-shaped cargo holds ensure maximum loading flexibility and cargo intake.
