Lloyd’s List Global Award
International Paint’s revolutionary, fluoropolymer foul release coating, Intersleek 900, has won a prestigious Lloyd’s List Global Award in the Clean Seas Category 2009. Held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 8 September 2009, the Clean Seas Award, sponsored by the Bahamas Maritime Authority, honours an institution, firm or individual which has made a recognizable contribution to the fight towards reducing the pollution of our oceans from maritime sources. Presented by Mr. Alastair Campbell, the renowned writer, communicator and strategist, the Award was received on behalf of International Paint by Mr. John Willsher, Business Development Manager for Intersleek. Commenting on the Award, Mr. Willsher said: “Over the last ten years, Intersleek has established an impressive track record, improving vessel efficiency and reducing emissions. We’re delighted that this contribution has again been recognized in the presentation of this Award, the fourth such Award Intersleek has won.
