Contract Award to Sea Trucks Group in Ghana

Sea Trucks Group has been awarded a contract by Tullow Ghana Limited for the provision of a Construction Support Vessel (CSV) providing accommodation and heavy lift services for the moored FPSO turret Kwame Nkrumahe, located in the Jubilee Unit Area, 60km off the shore of Ghana.

The scope of the work covers accommodation for up to 120 persons. It also includes the heavy lift of two 50t fairlead chain-stopper foundation block structures, a 34t mooring pull-in winch and other smaller lifts.

Jascon 28, one of the group’s DP3 accommodation hook-up vessels, has been nominated for both aspect of the project, demonstrating the advantage to their clients of the hybrid design configuration of their DP3 vessel fleet.

Offshore activities are scheduled to commence in Q4-2016 for a fixed duration of two months, with options to extend the contract by up to 30 days.

Graeme Pennycook, Sea Trucks Group’s Managing Director, comments, “We are delighted that, in the present difficult market, Sea Trucks has been awarded this significant contract. This is our first contract award from Tullow; we look forward to demonstrating our project management and operational capabilities with them in what we hope will be the start of a long working relationship between the two companies.”
