Van Dam Awarded Contract for East Anglia One
Van Dam has been awarded a contract for the design, engineering, fabrication and installation supervision of the internal and external fire rated walls, wall penetrations and doors for the East Anglia One offshore substation platform for Scottish Power Renewables.
Van Dam will be supplying more than 3,000m2 Generation IV wall panels (sandwich panels), over 400 penetrations and more than fifty doors for the new platform. The offshore substation will be constructed by Navantia in Puerto Real, Spain, and Iberdola is involved in the engineering and design of the substation.
Project phase One involves the supply of 102 wind turbines and one offshore substation, and will generate power for 500,000 households.
