Bilgin YachtsContinuing its path to growth and international recognition, Bilgin Yachts is proud to announce the company has recently been accepted as a member of the SYBAss (Super Yacht Builders Association).

SYBAss is a worldwide Mega Yacht association that represents the most experienced and prestigious superyacht builders in the world. Together, its members account for more than 50% of global super yacht production. Bilgin Yachts is an Istanbul-based shipyard for five generations dating back to the early 1900s. Having started as a small local business, it successfully grew into a world-renowned company with unique know-how in the superyacht sector. The shipyard was listed among the top 20 builders in the world after the delivery of 46.80m Bilgin 155 (Giaola-Lu) in 2016. In 2017, Giaola-Lu turned to be a great success by being one of the finalists for the World Superyacht Awards and ShowBoat Design Awards. Its success was followed by the 48m Nerissa which was also the finalist for the same awards with its interior design and naval architecture.

Bilgin Yachts has been building three new projects lately: Bilgin 156, 220 and 263. The Bilgin 156-II has similar features with the 47.5m Nerissa that had its debut during the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show. The newest project, Bilgin 220, is a 67m megayacht. Under construction in the Yalova facility, the yacht will bear masculine lines in its interior and exterior design which fits with its speed performance of up to 17 knots. Last but not least, the 80m Bilgin 263 I and II are getting ready in the shipyard’s newest facility West Istanbul Marina. The first unit, also the largest Bilgin yacht up to date, will be launched in 2019. Bilgin 263 will differentiate herself from her predecessors with the top speed of 20 knots. Bilgin 156 and 263 have exteriors designed by Unique Yacht Design, interiors by H2 Design Studio and Bilgin Yachts design team; while Bilgin 220 will have the interior lines of Hot Lab. All three models are built in compliance with IMO Tier III certification and is supposed to be the most environmental yacht in her class.

Founded in 2007, SYBAss is on a mission to unite the world’s leading superyacht builders, emphasising the unique values these companies offer owners and their business environment, and enhance cooperation between the yards, and its ultimate mission is to improve the regulations, professionalism and environments in the global super yacht industry. In order to become a member of SYBAss, a company needs to have built and delivered to customer satisfaction at least three 40m or longer yachts over the last ten years.
