Europort 2021: Return2Live
The maritime world is eagerly looking forward to meet again live. After the kick off of the global vaccination campaign it is good to see that now also concrete steps have been set to return2live.
In February this year the first so called ‘Fieldlab events’ have been held in the Netherlands; a series of theatre shows, conferences, dance events and football matches all with live audiences will serve as pilot to validate that live and safe can go hand in hand. The Fieldlab program has been initiated by the Dutch events sector in collaboration with the Dutch government, scientists and knowledge institutions and forms a major step to the welcome return of live events. Rotterdam is closely involved in the project and will use the learnings for all of its scheduled live events.
Europort 2021 seems to come at a strategic time of the year and global market players are seizing this opportunity to get back on stage. The list of confirmed exhibitors is growing by the day. In the past month alone, more than 30 new companies signed up. Europort offers an exceptionally in-depth programme in close cooperation with national and international industry partners, innovators and pioneers. Digitalisation, Energy Transition and Next Generation will dominate the event agenda. Highlights include the Europort Opening Summit, the Mare Forum Ship Finance Conference, Innovation Stage pitches, Masterclasses from C-level captains of industry, Matchmaking, Awards, networking events and a wide range of industry meetings.
Europort Romania, which was planned for May this year, will be rescheduled to 17-19 May 2022. This decision has been made after careful consultation with exhibitors, stakeholders and local authorities. Europort Romania is especially appreciated for its many social networking activities and the short term COVID-19 related conditions would have a strong impact on the event set-up. We are confident that in 2022 Europort Romania will be back fully in line with the event profile.
